Bart ten Doeschate is IP Counsel at HEINEKEN, in Amsterdam. As part of HEINEKEN’s global IP team, his work is focussed on trademarks, designs and copyright. In addition, Bart is involved in HEINEKEN’s advertising and sponsorships, not only from a contractual perspective, but also on the substance, approving commercials, social media posts. He studied law at the Leiden University and VU University in Amsterdam.

Before working at HEINEKEN, Bart was a European trademark and design attorney at a large IP firm in the Netherlands for more than seven years, advising multinational companies as well as start-ups on IP matters. Besides his work at HEINEKEN, Bart is an editor and author for the BMM Bulletin and is a lecturer for the BBMM course.
